9 Crazy Disney Music Covers That Will Haunt Your Dreams

September 12, 2024

Disney music covers have always been a weird and wonderful thing. They can either make you laugh, cry or feel nostalgic. But then there are those weird ones that leave you questioning everything. We took a deep dive into the wild world of Disney music covers and what we found was mind-blowing.

From hip-hop kings turning Disney songs into bangers, to country singers making Disney sound like the wild west, these covers are definitely out of the box. But dont worry, we also found some otherworldly creepy covers that will haunt your dreams for years to come.

But first, let's take a look at why people love to cover Disney songs. Is it because of the nostalgia factor? Is it the catchy melodies? Or is there something deeper that makes these songs so infamous that artists from all over the world feel compelled to put their own spin on them? Whatever the reason, one thing is for sure - these Disney music covers will make you see the world in a whole new light.

Disney and the world of hip-hop:

When we think of Disney, we often think of fairy tales and animal stories. But how about turning Bambi into a hip-hop track? The last thing we expected was Lil Bams track 'Bambi B*tch', where he tells the story of the young deer growing up to be a tough and rugged Bambi. Sounds far-fetched? It gets even better when you actually listen to the track.

Also, remember that kid in the early 2000s who rapped about getting 0% on a math test? Yeah, we thought we had seen it all, until we heard Flo Rida's track 'I Want To Thank', which starts with him singing about growing up watching Disney movies. Who knew that Disney and hip-hop could go so well together?

Country music gets weird:

There is a certain style of music, that is unmistakable country. When we heard of country covers of Disney music, we thought it would be your usual twangy, folksy style, but nope - they took it to a whole new level. How about 'The Little Mermaid's 'Under the Sea' done country-style? Country singer, Kacey Musgraves rendition of the Little Mermaid's classic was an earworm we never expected to love.

We also found a country version of Aladdin's 'A Whole New World', which took on an altogether ethereal vibe. Who knew country music and Aladdin could go so well together?

The creepy covers:

And then, there are those Disney music covers that seem to haunt our dreams for years to come. 'I'll Make a Man Out of You', by the band Ghost, takes the Mulan classic to a dark and heavy place - think electric guitars, crashing cymbals, and despair. Okay, thats probably a bit too dramatic - but trust us, its really dark.

But wait, there is one more. One of the scariest covers we found, is Marilyn Mansons 'This is Halloween'. What was supposed to be a song about Halloween, sounds like it's literally summoning the devil from the heavens. That eerie atmosphere combined with Mansons screams, is literally spine-chilling.

Disney covers have truly become a medium for artists to show their individuality, whether it's hip-hop, country or heavy metal. They have proven to be versatile beyond our wildest dreams. Be careful what you wish for, because these Disney music covers might just creep you out for life.
