‘90s Kids Just Got Served a Major Blow: The Official End of a Beloved Franchise

It seems like just yesterday we were reveling in the nostalgia that came with the reunion of a beloved sitcom from the 90s The series that ultimately stole the show, however, was its own spin-off: That ‘90s Show, the spiritual successor to the iconic That ‘70s Show. Set in the same perpetual summer, albeit a couple of decades later, this newest installment of the Point Place legacy followed the adventures of Leia Forman, daughter of Eric Forman and Donna Pinciotti, as she traded in the familiar suburban backdrop for an idyllic summer of bonding with her grandparents in the same hangout we all grew to love.

The core cast of the show featured Callie Haverda as Leia Forman, the central figure in this new series. While not much is known of her summer adventures, fans of That ‘70s Show can immediately reminisce the cast that cemented the classic sitcom in our hearts The show chronicled Leia's growth as she formed her crew of neighborhood friends including Gwen, Nate, Nikki, Ozzie, and Zeke and followed the trials, tribulations, and other summery shenanigans she got herself into.

However, after two hit-or-miss seasons, it appears as though Netflix has canceled any hope for the continued growth and expansion of That ‘90s Show. The statement comes largely as a result of ratings simply not translating into the level of support that made its forerunner the iconic sitcom it remains today.
