Arsenal are one of four Premier League clubs which have made an approach for the highly sought-after Corinthians midfielder Breno Bidon. The 19-year-old has been making waves in the football world with his impressive performances for Brazil at the U20 World Cup. Alongside Arsenal, Fulham are another top-flight club who have made an enquiry about the availability of the teenage sensation.
The other two clubs making the push for Bidon's signature are not yet known, but it is believed that a bidding war is expected to unfold. Meanwhile, according to reports, Bidon's contract contains a release clause which would allow the young player to make a cut-price move away from Corinthians if the terms were met.
Closing in on a move would seem ideal for Mikel Arteta and the Gunners squad as these teenage talents could help the squad grow further and compete with the top teams. With some Gunners mainstays facing contract and age concerns in the coming years, establishing these future mainstays in midfield and finding further reinforcements in other critical positions could play a significant part in how Arsenal go on to try and overtake top Premier League teams like Manchester City.
