Anna Gret Asi drilled a career-high eight 3-pointers and scored 24 points, Stailee Heard had a double-double and No. 25 Oklahoma State blitzed No. 12 Kansas State 85-55.
Asi had six 3s in the first half as the Cowgirls bolted to a 26-7 lead and never looked back. Heard added 12 points and 10 rebounds as the Cowgirls improved to 14-3 overall and 4-2 in the Big 12. The 30-point victory marked Oklahoma State's largest margin of victory over a ranked opponent since 2010.
Kansas State, which was trying to improve upon its best start in program history, fell to 14-3 overall and 4-2 in conference play. The Wildcats were led by Ayoka Lee, who scored 18 points, but were otherwise stifled by Oklahoma State's defense.
The Cowgirls held Kansas State to 32 percent shooting and forced 15 turnovers, which led to 22 Oklahoma State points. The Wildcats were also dominated on the glass, getting outrebounded 44-27.
Oklahoma State came into the game as the nation's leader in three-point shooting, and it showed. Asi was the main culprit, hitting six of her eight three-pointers in the first half as the Cowgirls built a 46-25 lead at the break.
The second half was more of the same, with Oklahoma State pushing its lead to as many as 35 points before emptying its bench. Asi's eight three-pointers marked a career high, and her 24 points tied a season high.
Heard, meanwhile, notched her fourth double-double of the season and her second in the last three games. She also added three assists and two blocks, and was a key factor in Oklahoma State's dominance on the glass.
The victory marked Oklahoma State's second over a ranked opponent this season, and its first over a top-15 team since 2016. The Cowgirls will look to carry the momentum into their next game, when they host Baylor on Sunday.
Kansas State, meanwhile, will try to regroup and bounce back from the loss when it hosts Texas Tech on Saturday. The Wildcats are still in a good position in the Big 12 standings, but will need to get back on track to keep pace with the conference leaders.
