Big B Reveals SHOCKING Moment When Ratan Tata Asked Him for Money

At a time when he was struggling to make ends meet and was burdened with debt, a wealthy businessman and head of a popular business empire approached Amitabh Bachchan with an unusual request. What was this, you ask? It's none other than Ratan Tata, the famous business magnate who turned to Amitabh Bacchan for help and asked him for money.

This shocking revelation was made by Amitabh Bachchan in one of his interviews. The host of the show was eager to know from Amitabh Bachchan about some of his instances with debt, and he narrated how he once struggled with heavy debt. He revealed that he has seen the worse of times when he didn't even have enough money to buy himself a meal or make a simple phone call.

In his book also, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, 'During that time, I didn't even have money to make a simple phone call. There were countless times when I thought I would get over it but then debts started chasing me like the plague.'

In the same interview, Amitabh Bachchan further revealed how there existed such people who, despite their richness and aristocratic lifestyle also approached him for some financial help in dire conditions. Surprisingly, his name was none other than Ratan Naval Tata – the big shot of Indian industrialists' community.

Amitabh Bachchan then talked about that fateful day when he got a unique call. He said, 'I still remember it was around the morning of an important contract signing when Ratan Tata dialled my number and humbly requested, 'Amitabh, can I borrow some money?'

Amitabh Bachchan vividly described how shocked and perplexed he was after listening to such unexpected statement by Ratan Naval Tata. Although he instantly thought that he was being joked around and was too hard to believe that this huge Indian entrepreneurial legend of the Tata Empire had run out of money in his lifetime.

He further added, 'However, when I picked up the call and signed it off, he cracked the final punchline that shocked me into tears of laughter. What happened next will shock you and will be giving some major smile on your face later on...'

He responded with words that explained he had to pledge and mortgage some substantial portion of his personal life assets in order to pay debts which still felt like moving a mountain for getting back one’s old life. Amitabh Bachchan says, 'Then I told him, 'Sir, I don't even have enough money, even one Rupee that can help me make this phone call today - that's my condition today. You don't be so mean, tell me, with folded hands, you joke about that much a paltry amount of money. If a man's money factor did not meet my situation – my situation won't help increase your money too.'

And then, Bachchan broke into laughter and said in amusement how hilarious the conversation was, since, there lay his greatness to crack on the fun side of even such matter so brutally without deeming to be non-cooperative in front of someone so established and dignified in Indian society.
