Big Changes Are Coming To Your Local Library This Year

January 9, 2025

Greetings from the Great Bend Public Library and Happy New Year. I know I’m a bit late but this is my first article of 2025, so I wanted to wish everyone a happy start to 2025. As we step into this new year, the Great Bend Public Library is excited to announce that it will be introducing a wide range of new programs designed to cater to the diverse needs and interests of our community.

At the Great Bend Public Library, we are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment that fosters a love for reading, learning, and exploration. Our new programs will include book clubs, author workshops, children’s storytime sessions, and technology classes, all aimed at promoting literacy, education, and community engagement.

One of the highlights of our new program lineup is the introduction of a monthly book club, where members can come together to discuss their thoughts and opinions on a selected book. This will not only provide a platform for book lovers to share their passion for reading but also help to build a sense of community and social connection among our patrons.

In addition to our book club, we will also be hosting author workshops and writing classes, designed to inspire and support aspiring writers in our community. These workshops will cover a range of topics, from creative writing techniques to the basics of publishing, and will provide a unique opportunity for writers to learn from experienced authors and industry professionals.

For our younger patrons, we have an exciting lineup of children’s storytime sessions, featuring interactive stories, songs, and crafts. These sessions are designed to promote early literacy skills, imagination, and creativity, and will provide a fun and engaging way for children to develop a love for reading and learning.

We are also expanding our technology classes to include topics such as basic computer skills, online safety, and digital media. These classes will be designed to help our patrons stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and to provide them with the skills and confidence they need to navigate the digital world.

At the Great Bend Public Library, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality educational programs and resources, regardless of their age or background. That’s why we are committed to making our new programs free and open to the public, and to providing a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages learning, growth, and exploration.

We invite everyone to join us at the Great Bend Public Library in 2025, as we embark on this exciting new chapter in our journey to provide innovative and engaging programs and services to our community. Whether you’re a book lover, a writer, a parent, or simply someone who is looking for a new challenge, we have something for everyone, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
