Markets around the world have been experiencing extreme volatility, causing massive losses for some of the wealthiest individuals. Two of the biggest casualties of the market crash are Indian billionaires Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, who saw their fortunes dwindle in the blink of an eye.
Mukesh Ambani, the business magnate and head of Reliance Industries, witnessed a staggering loss of Rs 360,000,000,000 (approximately USD 4.3 billion dollars) on Thursday, which has significantly impacted his net worth.
Gautam Adani, Adani Group's chairman, did not fare better. He suffered a substantial loss of Rs 24,600 crore (approximately USD 2.97 billion dollars) following the massive market downturn.
These dramatic losses affected their rankings on the global billionaires list. With their current positions under threat, the once-steady Indians have begun to slide down the list.
Ambani and Adani, once rivaling other global moguls, have faced a severe setback as the combined loss of their wealth positions them to experience a downward spiral on the list. Even though it's hard to predict what the future holds for these billionaire moguls, the losses sustained in a single day have certainly steered things in an uncertain direction.
