Charlotte FC Stuns Cincinnati with Thrilling 2-0 Victory - What Happened Next Will Shock You

Liel Abada and Patrick Agyemang each scored their first goal of the season shortly after halftime and Kristijan Kahlina had a career-high eight saves on Saturday night to help Charlotte FC beat FC Cincinnati 2-0.

Abada gave Charlotte a 1-0 lead in the 49th minute with a shot from just outside the box and Agyemang made it 2-0 in the 54th with a header off a cross from Anton Walkes.

Kahlina who had a previous career high of six saves made three in the final 15 minutes to secure his third shutout of the season for Charlotte.

Abada who went into the game with two assists and Agyemang who had one goal in a US Open Cup match each picked up their first MLS goal of the year.

Charlotte improved to 6-7-1 and Cincinnati dropped to 7-3-3.

The match started out slowly with neither team creating many scoring opportunities in the first half.

Cincinnati had a few good chances but Kahlina was there to make the saves and Charlotte started to get some momentum just before halftime.

Then in the second half Abada and Agyemang took over scoring their goals in a five-minute span.

Cincinnati had a few more chances but again Kahlina was solid in goal.

Kristijan Kahlina was thrilled with his teams performance and his own career-high eight saves.

Charlotte FC will look to build on this win as they head into their next match.
