As fans of the hit NBC drama Chicago Med eagerly await the show's return, they've been left with a burning question: what's next for Dr. Ethan Choi and his tumultuous relationship with Dr. Dean Archer's sister-in-law, Hannah Asher? Among the many plot twists at the end of season 9, viewers were also left reeling from the shocking attack on Detective Jay Halstead by Pawel, a member of a human trafficking ring. Now, it appears that answers - and perhaps more questions - are finally on the horizon. In a recent interview, actor Luke Mitchell, who plays Dr. Rylan O'Reilly but fans will know him in season 10 as Dr. Rylan 'Crockett' Marcel aka Eric Crockett, the troubled and intense former flame of nurse Hannah Asher, shed some light on what's in store for the show's upcoming season. When asked about the direction of Dr. Marcel's story arc and the development of his relationship with Hannah, Mitchell offered some tantalizing hints that things might get a lot rockier for the two characters. 'A lot happens this season that will give us more insight into that,' Mitchell explained in an interview. Mitchell had some strong words regarding Dr. Marcel. He says that Dr. Marcel is 'unhinged.' There's also been some noticeable and awkward tension brewing between Dr. Marcel and Dr. Dean Archer, according to Mitchell, even though he's been gone for a while. Season 10, however, will give even more insights into the details behind it. Meanwhile, Mitchell pointedly emphasized the relationship between Dr. Marcel and the ER nurse Hannah Asher, which has been making fans speculate about some unresolved romance left on the table. According to Mitchell, Dr. Marcel and Hannah are bound to create more chaos and fireworks when they inevitably butt heads and have some more explosive confrontations early in the new season. Another big question left unanswered last season which Mitchell has promised some immediate answers about was the aftermath of the recent violent attack on Detective Jay Halstead by human trafficker Pawel;
Season 10 of Chicago Med is also bound to be defined by ongoing cases involving stalking - according to a preview and human trafficking reports shared last season after it came to light that some individuals victimized young vulnerable girls in abusive marriages as the series got a shocking plotline which is hard-hitting as other high-profile issues typically are in healthcare settings although Chicago Med isn't the only show that talks about social issues.
