Clemson Goes on Fire Beating Notre Dame with Shocking 15 Point Lead

No. 13 Clemson clobbers Notre Dame for 5th straight win as Ian Schieffelin scored a career-high 24 points and No. 13 Clemson kept rolling by defeating visiting Notre Dame 83-68 in the Atlantic Coast Conference contest on Wednesday night.

Viktor Lakhin had 18 points, Jake Heidbreder notched 14 off the bench, and the Tigers led by as many as 15 points in the second half to record their fifth consecutive victory.

Clemson improved its ACC record to 6-2, tied for second place behind Virginia, while Notre Dame dropped to 1-6 in the conference.

Ian Schieffelin shot 9-for-14 from the field, including 3-for-5 from 3-point range, and added six rebounds.

Viktor Lakhin also had eight rebounds, and Chase Hunter contributed 10 points for Clemson, which shot 51.9 percent from the field and made 10 of 24 3-point attempts.

Notre Dame received 20 points from Nate Laszewski, but it wasn't enough to overcome a strong performance by Clemson's offense.
