Cold Wave Hits Bangladesh: Freezing Temperatures and Fog to Grip the Nation for 72 Hours

Bangladesh is bracing for a moderate cold wave with fog forecasted across the country for the next 72 hours, starting from Wednesday morning, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)

The BMD has forecasted predominantly dry weather with occasional partly cloudy skies across the country, with light to moderate fog expected in various regions during midnight to early morning hours.

As per the BMD's update, nighttime temperatures are likely to remain steady, while daytime temperatures may experience a slight drop in Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions.

However, in other regions, temperatures are expected to remain relatively unchanged, bringing some respite to the people.

In the past 24 hours, the highest temperature recorded was 30°C in Sitakunda, Chattogram, while the lowest was 9.03°C in Tetulia, Panchagarh.

The BMD's forecast has warned people to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the cold wave, especially during the early morning hours when the fog is expected to be dense.

The authorities have also advised people to wear warm clothes and take other necessary measures to stay safe and healthy during this period.
