Dakota Valley has bookend the final ticket to the A round state playoffs next week, following in nail-biting, emotionally extravagant win over Hanson on Friday afternoon at a packed stadium. Down by three at halftime, the Panthers overpowered the stunned visitors, winning 45-30.

The score became apparent as the two teams moved into the third frame as Dakota Valley capitalized their winning run to eventually walk out as winners. Although the second half score was 29-15, still in favor of the home team, by the sound of the final whistle, everyone in attendance sensed that this rivalry would most certainly go all the way when the A tournaments take seat.

No stranger to high pressure situations, Dakota Valley stepped up their play once they were able to cut down the third point lead and get turnovers to come and shine once more in order capture ultimate victory. What the outcome held for the visiting team was disappointment as the harsh realities check started settling.

'It goes without saying, we are extremely proud of the women out there showing the teamwork and resilience and patience plus being able to bounce back and put fourth our work for something that they have earned,' said an emotional Panthers head coach post-game. No regrets on all that is asked day in and day out. That in itself is what we wanted in our players and we managed to achieve more than we could ask for.'
