Double Trouble! One Man Destroys Brest in Monaco Thriller

Maghnes Akliouche was the hero for Monaco on a thrilling day in Ligue 1 as his double helped the home side secure a 3-2 win over Brest. Akliouche wasted no time in getting into the action as he opened the scoring in just the fifth minute. The 21-year-old midfielder found himself in the right place at the right time to slot home and give his team the dream start.

Brest refused to give up however and they were able to pull a goal back before halftime. The visitors continued to push for an equalizer in the second half but Akliouche was on hand to score his second of the day and seal the win for Monaco. Despite a late consolation for Brest the home side were able to hold on for the three points.

The win marks a much needed boost for Monaco who have struggled in recent weeks. Akliouche will be hopeful that his two goal performance will earn him more regular starts in the future.
