For four decades, one sultry siren of the darkness has been treating audiences to a blend of terror, laughter, and outrageous humor at Knott's Scary Farm.

Cassandra Peterson, better known to fans worldwide as the one and only Elvira, has been entertaining crowds with her brand of high camp, low cleavage, and all-around bawdiness, effortlessly gliding between a playful homage to classic B-movies and an unforgettable experience that defies categorization.

With the milestone 40-year anniversary of her stage shows at Knott's Scary Farm, Peterson says that selecting a single favorite moment or anecdote from her years of performances is nothing short of impossible.

"It's really like trying to pick your favorite child," Peterson said in an interview. "Each show was special in its own unique way, and the memories just keep on flooding back the more I think about it."

While she confessed that it's nearly impossible for her to narrow down her favorite memories to just a few choice stories, Peterson reflected on the rapidly changing cultural landscape and how the show has shifted to both adapt to and poke fun at it over the years.
