December 30, 2024

Surinder Khanna a former Indian keeper has sparked controversy by calling Indian players liars over the DRS saga that unfolded during the recently concluded test match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground MCG The former keeper expressed his disappointment and frustration at the Indian teams behavior and said that instead of trying to create controversy around the Decision Review System DRS they should focus on playing fair cricket

Khanna who has been an vocal critic of the Indian teams on field behavior said that the team needs to take a long hard look at themselves and their actions on the field The DRS saga at the MCG was just another example of the teams propensity to push the rules to the limit and beyond according to Khanna who also expressed his disappointment at the teams lack of sportsmanship and fair play

The controversy surrounding the DRS at the MCG erupted when the Indian team was accused of manipulating the system to get a favorable decision The incident sparked a heated debate with many former players and cricket experts weighing in on the issue While some defended the Indian teams actions others were more critical saying that the team had crossed a line and brought the game into disrepute

Khanna was scathing in his criticism of the Indian team saying that they had let themselves and the country down with their behavior He also expressed his disappointment at the lack of leadership shown by the team management and the captain who he felt had failed to take control of the situation and prevent the controversy from escalating

The former keeper also felt that the Indian teams behavior was not in line with the spirit of the game and that they needed to take a more responsible approach to the game The DRS system is there to help the umpires make accurate decisions and not to be manipulated by the teams to get a favorable result according to Khanna who also said that the team needed to learn to accept the umpires decisions and not question them unnecessarily

In conclusion Khanna said that the Indian team needed to take a long hard look at themselves and their behavior on the field and make a conscious effort to play fair cricket The team has a lot of talented players and they should be focusing on using their skills to win matches rather than trying to manipulate the system to get an advantage according to Khanna who also expressed his hope that the team would learn from their mistakes and become better ambassadors for the game in the future
