Garrett Hedlund Lets Slip the Truth About Dwight - We've Got All the Tea

September 23, 2024

Taylor Sheridan and Terence Winter's crime drama series, 'Tulsa King,' starring Academy Award nominee Sylvester Stallone, is making headlines in the drama world.

Garrett Hedlund stars in the Paramount+ original series as Mitch Keller, an old-time friend of the lead character, Dwight Manfredi.

In a show full of family loyalty and violence, this new series seems to see Mitch walking the line between personal relationships and business duties.

The newest television show out of Paramount+ has seen quite an upward trend in viewership. And Garrett Hedlund has recently revealed some behind-the-scenes information regarding Mitch's honest feelings about his buddy Dwight.

Dwight, the core character in the series, is initially introduced as a member who gets demoted in the mafia and decides to establish himself in Tulsa.

According to Garrett Hedlund, his character has admiration and deep respect for Sylvester Stallone's character in the new drama.

When asked about whether Mitch feels resentment towards Dwight in the show, based on a comment made by one of the mafia families the former is involved in, Garrett Hedlund gave his opinion.

"From my estimation of it, I think there can be some commentary that speaks about the characters of every other person involved in that matter," the actor said.

Hedlund revealed Mitch views both his personal life and the 'business life' as completely connected and inseparable. He views his friendship with Dwight as the prime contributor in creating success in his own career.

The show's pilot may see no resemblance of personal loyalty, with Dwight initially coming across as quite forceful and demanding, a character so well portrayed by veteran actor Sylvester Stallone.

Meanwhile, Mitch is depicted as a free-spirited guy who doesn't appear to think twice before reacting to whatever Dwight is asking for.

By taking a close look at Garrett Hedlund's musical side, it comes as no surprise to the public that the actor also appears to have made some musical contributions to the new Paramount+ series.

Jelly Roll was recently a featured guest on Tulsa King.'s episodes. A musical appearance is something to keep your sights set on, since there may be some opportunities left in releasing episodes of the television drama in future.
