Fans of Fortnite have been eagerly awaiting the latest update to the popular battle royale game, and today Epic Games has finally pulled back the curtain on the highly-anticipated Chapter 6 update. The major update, set to go live on December 1, promises a slew of exciting new features and challenges for players to conquer - but arguably the most thrilling addition is the gigantic, city-destroying monster that is Godzilla.
According to sources, and as hinted at in the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1: Hunters trailer, the new Chapter 6 update will see the introduction of a roaming Godzilla that will be terrorizing a new Japan-themed map. Players will have to navigate the iconic battle royale landscape while avoiding the wrath of the gargantuan monster.
Fortnite developer Epic Games confirmed the news, showcasing a number of other smaller Japan-inspired elements and features that will also be included in the update, as hinted at in the newest trailer. As with every major update to Fortnite, Chapter 6 promises an immersive gaming experience, with an assortment of new challenges, quests, and limited-time game modes that take into account the new surroundings.
While this isn't the first time that Fortnite has incorporated iconic movie monsters, it's undeniable that Godzilla will bring an entirely new level of chaos and unpredictability to the Fortnite experience. Players will need to be on their toes to survive - both in terms of avoiding other players, and staying out of Godzilla's destructive path.
Excited Fortnite fans can get ready for the latest battle royale gaming experience as the Fortnite Chapter 6 update kicks off on December 1. With its massive upgrade to the gameplay landscape, Fortnite will be bringing a bigger and more immersive experience to users, propelling the popular gaming title to uncharted territories.
