The Indian U18 hockey team has made the nation proud, bagging the bronze medal at the Sultan of Johor Cup 2024 after a nail-biting penalty shootout victory against a determined New Zealand side.
In what was an intense encounter between two teams that had shown tremendous promise throughout the tournament, India colts took an early lead and maintained it for a significant part of the match. The fans were electrified when Dilraj Singh scored the opening goal in the 11th minute, setting the tone for a strong first half. The lead was doubled in the 20th minute when Manmeet Singh found the back of the net.
