Portsmouth boss John Mousinho has issued a warning to his players about the threat posed by Myles Peart-Harris, the Swansea loanee who has been attracting mixed reviews from fans and pundits alike. The former Chelsea starlet has been on a tear in recent weeks, helping his new side to a string of victories that have catapulted them to the top of the table.
Mousinho knows that Peart-Harris is a player to be reckoned with, and he's determined to make sure his team is prepared for the challenge. The Portsmouth manager has been studying the 20-year-old's game, looking for weaknesses to exploit and ways to neutralize his threat.
"We've done our research on Myles, we know what he's capable of," Mousinho said in a pre-match press conference. "He's a talented young player who has already shown he can perform under pressure. But we're not going to be intimidated by his reputation or his recent form. We'll be looking to take the game to Swansea and impose our own style on the match."
Peart-Harris arrived at Swansea on loan from Premier League giants Brentford during the summer transfer window, and his arrival was seen as a major coup for the Welsh side. But despite his undoubted talent, the young midfielder has been inconsistent at times, and some fans have been left disappointed by his lack of impact in certain games.
However, Peart-Harris has also shown flashes of brilliance on the pitch, scoring crucial goals and creating chances for his teammates with his vision and passing ability. His loan spell at Swansea has been a rollercoaster ride so far, but the 20-year-old remains confident that he can make a difference for his side.
"I knew it wouldn't be easy when I first arrived at Swansea," Peart-Harris said in a recent interview. "But I've been working hard in training and I feel like I'm starting to find my feet now. The team has been great with me, and I'm enjoying playing with my new teammates."
As for Mousinho and Portsmouth, they'll be looking to bounce back from a recent defeat when they face Swansea on the weekend. The Pompey boss is expecting a tough match, but he's confident that his team can get the job done.
"We know that Swansea are a good side, but we're feeling positive about our chances," Mousinho said. "We'll be looking to take the game to them and see what happens. It should be a great match for the fans."
