Kamala Harris Ancestral Village on Prayers

A tiny village in India where Kamala Harris has ancestral roots is praying for her victory.

The village of Thulasendrapuram in the state of Tamil Nadu, India, is home to a handful of temples where locals have been gathering to pray for the victory of vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

According to reports, the villagers have been performing special prayers, offering flowers and lighting lamps in the temples for the success of their beloved 'granddaughter'.

Kamala Harris's grandfather was from Thulasendrapuram, and she has often spoken fondly of her Indian heritage. The villagers see Harris as one of their own, and are elated at the prospect of having one of their own bloodline represent the United States at the vice-presidential level.

Children in the village waved American flags, while others displayed Harris's posters, hoping that the California senator will recognize their village when she assumes office.

As the election entered the final stretch, villagers claimed that they could sense a divine intervention and Harris will emerge victorious and credit the deity with aiding her triumph.

A resident who was quoted was filled with emotion, stating they pray each morning and evening to their great god, praying that Harris gets voted in as she proudly carries their village's name forward at an international level.

The unique fanbase from India hope that their prays for her are heard by the gods.

Win or lose however, the people of Thulasendrapuram could not have any more pride knowing they have ancestral ties to the legendary political figure and that in itself is a testament to the great thing their village has ever produce.
