Kamala Harris Suffers Brutal Double Standard: Insiders Reveal the Dark Truth

November 14, 2024

As the 2024 election heats up, several pundits and commentators have been analyzing the campaigns of the various candidates, sharing their takes on who's doing well and who's falling short.

Hostin recently spoke out about the criticism surrounding Kamala Harris’ campaign, and she believes that it’s motivated by more than just politics. “Misogyny and sexism – that’s what that was,” Hostin said.

Indeed, it's hard to argue that sexism and misogyny haven't played a role in the criticism of Harris’ campaign. While some of her male counterparts are praised for their confidence and ambition, Harris is often criticized for hers.

Many people think that Kamala Harris is running a “perfect campaign,” but what does that even mean? Is it a campaign that checks all the boxes and follows all the rules, or is it one that challenges the status quo and pushes the boundaries of what's possible?

From the outside, it looks like Harris’ campaign is trying to do the former, but getting criticized for not doing the latter. It’s like people want her to be more relatable, more authentic, and more spontaneous, but at the same time, they also want her to be more polished and more professional.

This double standard is not only unfair to Harris, but it's also unrealistic. It’s like people want her to be two different people at the same time, and that’s just not possible.

Of course, not everyone agrees that sexism and misogyny are at play here. Some people think that Harris is simply running a bad campaign, and that her lack of popularity is due to her own failings rather than any external factors.

But even if that’s true, it’s hard to deny that sexism and misogyny have played a role in the criticism of Harris’ campaign. After all, we've seen this same narrative play out before with other female politicians.

Take Hillary Clinton, for example. When she ran for president in 2016, she was criticized for being too cold, too distant, and too unlikable. But when she showed emotion and vulnerability, she was criticized for being too weak and too unprofessional.

It’s like female politicians are in a catch-22 situation, where they're damned if they do and damned if they don’t. And it’s not just limited to politics; this same double standard applies to many areas of life.

So what can we do to change this narrative? For one thing, we need to be more aware of our own biases and try to challenge them. We need to recognize when we're holding female politicians to different standards than their male counterparts.

We also need to support and uplift female politicians, rather than tearing them down. We need to create a culture where women are encouraged to run for office and are given the same opportunities and respect as men.

It won’t be easy, but it’s necessary if we want to create a more just and equitable society. And who knows, maybe one day we'll have a female president who is able to run a campaign without being held to an impossible standard.
