Kane Saves The Day Red Wings Stun Ducks With Thrilling Overtime Win

Patrick Kane scored his second goal of the game on a breakaway with a minute left in overtime and the Detroit Red Wings beat Anaheim 5-4 to end the Ducks’ four-game winning streak.

Marco Kasper, Alex DeBrincat and Kane scored in the first period to give the Red Wings a 3-0 lead, but the Ducks battled back to tie it with three goals in the second, including two on the power play.

The Red Wings took the lead again in the third period, but the Ducks tied it with just over two minutes remaining to send the game into overtime.

Kane, who signed with the Red Wings in the offseason, has been a major contributor to the team's success this season, and his goal in overtime was his 15th of the year.

The win was the Red Wings' third in a row and moved them into third place in the division, while the Ducks suffered their first loss in five games.

The Red Wings will look to continue their winning streak when they face off against the Kings on Thursday, while the Ducks will try to bounce back against the Sharks on Friday.
