The Los Angeles Kings pulled off an incredible comeback Thursday night, scoring four unanswered goals in the third period to beat the Anaheim Ducks 4-1. The Kings' impressive third-period display was led by Adrian Kempe, Alex Laferriere, Kevin Fiala, and Mikey Anderson, all of whom found the net in the final 20 minutes of play.
Los Angeles goaltender David Rittich was solid in net, stopping 15 of the 16 shots he faced to help secure the win. The Kings also received a strong performance from defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov, who recorded two assists in the game.
The Ducks were able to get on the board first, but were ultimately unable to hold off the Kings' late surge. The loss was a tough one for Anaheim, which was looking to build on recent momentum.
For the Ducks, the loss was a disappointing one, particularly given how well they had been playing in the early going. Anaheim will look to bounce back from the tough defeat in its next outing.
