KENYA’S Isaac Logart and Zimbabwe’s very own Fortunate Chidzivo won the second edition of the prestigious Sunshine City Half Marathon, which concluded at the iconic Harare Gardens yesterday.
Logart, who was among the top contenders for the event, dominated the men’s field with a breathtaking display of endurance and athleticism. Clad in his signature Kenyan jersey, Logart breezed through the 21.1-kilometer course, finishing in an astonishing time that left the crowd in awe.
On the women’s front, homegirl Fortunate Chidzivo stole the show, beating off stiff competition from her regional counterparts. Her stunning victory marked a major milestone in her athletics career and drew thunderous applause from the enthusiastic crowd that thronged the Harare Gardens to catch a glimpse of their favorite sportswomen.
