JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) Jacksonville State bounced back from a tough stretch of games, earning an overwhelming 89-59 win over visiting Columbia International on Monday night at Pete Mathews Coliseum. The Gamecocks improvement to a 3-4 record, thanks in large part to an inspired, career-high performance from star forward Jaron Pierre Jr.

Pierre took the court by storm, notching his first double-double of the season with 30 points on 12-17 shooting, complemented by ten rebounds and just one turnover. The 6-6 junior also sank five three-pointers and shot a near-flawless 10-11 from the free throw line.
