Nicole Kidman is known for taking on complex and often provocative roles throughout her storied career, but her latest film may be the most revealing yet - in more ways than one. The actress is set to star in A24's upcoming erotic thriller 'Babygirl', and from the looks of the recently released trailer, Kidman is leaving it all on the table for this one.
Set to the tune of Aphex Twin's 'Avril 14th', the trailer offers a haunting and sensual look into the upcoming film, which sees Kidman's character embarking on a torrid affair with a younger man - played by Harris Dickinson. The relationship between the two is marked by flashes of intense passion, with plenty of steamy scenes to go around.
Per the film's official logline, 'Babygirl' follows the story of a mother and son whose relationship becomes complicated when they start to develop feelings for the same man. It's a complex web of desire that's sure to raise eyebrows - and Kidman has said herself that the film is her most 'exposing' movie yet.
'Babygirl' is being directorial effort by William Oldroyd, who made his feature film debut in 2016 with 'Lady Macbeth'. The movie also stars daughter of Rupert Murdoch, Chloe Pirrie, in addition to Dillon, Dickinson and Sachi Kim. A24’s ‘Babygirl’ will be released later this year.
