As we head into the final Friday in October and the final weekend of regular season high school football, something truly scary appears to be happening. The top teams across the state appear to be getting better, leaving many to wonder if anyone can stop their momentum as we approach the playoffs.
In recent weeks, we've seen top-ranked teams dominate their opponents with seemingly ease, racking up points and shutting down opposing offenses with relative ease. The question on everyone's mind is: can anyone slow them down?
The answer may be more complicated than we think. With teams throughout the state continuing to fine-tune their skills and plug away at their weaknesses, it's certainly possible that we'll see a few dark horses emerge in the coming weeks.
But for now, it's hard not to be impressed by the sheer level of talent on display. Top-ranked teams are showcasing superstar players who seem to be getting better by the week, and their supporting casts are rising to the challenge as well.
One thing's for certain: if these teams continue to improve at their current rate, we're in store for an absolutely thrilling postseason. The question is: which teams will be able to put it all together and make a deep run in the playoffs?
Stay tuned to find out.
