Pogba's Brother Behind Bars! The Shocking Extortion Case That's Rocking French Football

December 20, 2024

A Paris court has handed down a prison sentence to a brother of France midfielder Paul Pogba, in a high-profile extortion case that has sent shockwaves through the French football world. Pogba's brother, along with five other men, was found guilty of involvement in the extortion plot, which allegedly targeted the France international.

The case has generated widespread media attention, due in part to the fact that the alleged perpetrators included three childhood friends of Paul Pogba, as well as his own brother. The trial raised questions about the motivations behind the extortion attempt, and whether Pogba's own family members were involved in the plot.

According to reports, the six men were accused of attempting to extort money from Paul Pogba by menacing him and threatening to reveal intimate secrets about his personal life. The plot allegedly began in March 2022, when the group began sending threatening messages to Pogba, and was foiled by police in September of the same year.

The trial heard that Pogba's brother was instrumental in organizing the plot, and had been in contact with his accomplices in order to orchestrate the extortion attempt. The court was also told that the group had been using encrypted messaging apps to communicate with one another, and that they had been careful to cover their tracks in an effort to avoid detection.

Following the guilty verdict, the court handed down a three-year prison sentence to Pogba's brother, with two years suspended. The decision means that Pogba's brother will spend at least a year behind bars, and will only be released early if he demonstrates good behavior while in prison.

The extortion case has raised questions about the levels of security and protection afforded to high-profile footballers like Paul Pogba. While Pogba has not publicly commented on the case, it is believed that he is relieved that justice has been served and that the ordeal is finally over.

As the news of the sentencing broke, many of Pogba's fans and well-wishers took to social media to express their support for the player. The France midfielder has been the subject of intense media scrutiny in recent years, and the extortion case has only added to his woes. However, with the guilty verdict and sentencing now out of the way, Pogba can focus on getting his life and career back on track.
