Primeboy Strikes Back: Sues Mohbad's Grieving Mother for Shattering His Reputation

Late singer Mohbad’s childhood friend, Ibrahim Owodunni, popularly known as Primeboy, has threatened to sue the deceased’s mother, Abosede Adeyemo-Aloba, for defamation.

Primeboy, in a statement signed by his lawyer, Akinpelu Ogunbona, noted that Mohbad’s mother had during an interview accused him of having an altercation with her son before his death.

According to the statement, the said interview has caused Primeboy significant emotional distress and has brought his reputation into disrepute, as the claims made by Mohbad’s mother are false and unfounded.

Primeboy’s lawyer explained that his client has given Mohbad's mother an ultimatum to retract the statement and apologize for her claims, failure to do which legal action would be taken against her.

The news about the brewing lawsuit between Primeboy and Mohbad’s mother is coming at a time when the music industry is still grappling with the sudden death of Mohbad, who passed away on September 12, under mysterious circumstances.

Primeboy and Mohbad had been friends since childhood and had also collaborated on various music projects before the late singer's demise.
