Relegation Looms: Basake Holy Stars' Goal-Scoring Nightmare Exposed by Coach Abdulai Gazale

Basake Holy Stars coach Abdulai Gazale has expressed his frustration over his team's struggling form in front of goal, a situation that has seen the Ghana Premier League newcomers plummet down the table following three consecutive defeats.

The Premier League debutants made a promising start to the season, but their fortunes have taken a turn for the worse with the team currently languishing just a place above the relegation zone after five matches.

The worrying slump was further highlighted by their narrow defeat to fellow newcomers Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex at the weekend. Speaking after the game, Gazale, a former Asante Kotoko assistant coach, lamented about his team's inability to find the back of the net, despite creating plenty of chances.

"Goalscoring has been a challenge. We've created a lot of chances in our games but we are unable to utilize them. I'm becoming angry because I think we've done a lot of work on goal-scoring," Gazale said, clearly worried about his team's scoring form.

Basake Holy Stars are currently in the 15th position with just four points from five matches, and their goal-scoring woes are evident. The Anyinase-based club has struggled to convert their chances into goals, and this has ultimately led to their slump down the table.

As the Ghana Premier League campaign gathers momentum, Holy Stars will look to turn their fortunes around when they play host to Karela United at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in matchday six this weekend. With the pressure mounting, Gazale and his team will be desperate to get back to winning ways and climb up the table to avoid the relegation zone.
