Rylee Arnold is speaking out after she and her partner Stephen Nedoroscik received harsh criticism from Carrie Ann Inaba on Dancing with the Stars. The Olympian and social media personality took to her social media accounts to address the judges' critiques and give her honest reaction.
On the most recent episode of the hit dance competition show, Carrie Ann told Rylee that she 'looked uncomfortable' and that her 'lines were a little bit messy' while performing the Paso Doble with Stephen. The professional dancer and her partner ended up scoring a 25 out of 40 for their performance.
Rylee initially seemed to take the criticism well, but after some reflection, she decided to speak her truth and share her reaction with her fans. 'I have been doing gymnastics my entire life, I'm an Olympian, I'm used to criticism,' Rylee said in an Instagram story. 'But I felt low when you said that my lines were messy.'
'I just wish she had given me more constructive criticism,' Rylee continued. 'All of the other judges gave me specific feedback on what I could improve on and how I could make the routine better. Carrie Ann just seemed to generalize and that was kind of frustrating for me.'
Rylee went on to say that despite Carrie Ann's harsh words, she is grateful for the judge's feedback and that she values her opinion. 'I know she wants the best for me, and I really appreciate that,' Rylee said. 'I just wish she had worded it in a more constructive way.'
Rylee's response to Carrie Ann's criticisms has sparked a mixed reaction from fans on social media. Some users praised the pro dancer for standing up for herself and expressing her true feelings, while others believed she overreacted and should have taken the criticism in stride.
Despite the controversy surrounding the criticism, Rylee and her partner Stephen remain a strong contender on Dancing with the Stars. They will return to the dance floor next week to perform a new routine in the hopes of winning over the judges and securing a spot in the final round.
