Mohamed Salah shone once more for Liverpool, contributing to their blistering start to the new season with an assist and a decisive late goal against Bologna, cementing the team's position as a formidable title contender.
Despite the impressive win, Salah cautioned against complacency, stating that the pressure is not solely on Liverpool to deliver stellar performances this season.
The 31-year-old Egyptian international has been the driving force behind the Reds' recent success, racking up numerous goals and assists, which has put them firmly in the driver's seat for another thrilling campaign.
Salah's on-field partnership with his Liverpool teammates, particularly Brazilian duo Alisson Becker and Roberto Firmino, has proven unbeatable so far. However, the former Roma player insisted that the real challenge lies ahead.
While their victory over Bologna spells a record-breaking start for Liverpool, Salah maintained a calm demeanor amidst the collective euphoria surrounding their championship aspirations.
'I always stress that if we're enjoying football, we've got to win more,' he explained to journalists following the match. 'If we win, that's the main thing.' Salah added, warning that he would remain driven to push the boundaries to secure victories, even with immense pressure building upon the Reds.
Ever since arriving on Merseyside in the summer of 2017, Salah has steadily grown in prominence and contributed in astronomical proportions to his team's trophy-winning exploits.
Chelsea legend Didier Drogba took to social media to pay homage to Salah's Bologna brace, proving the insurmountable esteem in which the two prolific strikers hold each other.
However, with numerous high-profile clashes looming on the horizon, Salah has no intention of underestimating the importance of hard work and perseverance in bolstering the Reds' continued upward momentum.
When quizzed about the side's goal-scoring prowess this campaign, the player conceded that 'at this point, nothing beats winning'.
