Nick Cannon is known for being an open book when it comes to his personal life, and he's at it again with a shocking admission about his past partying days. The Wild n Out host recently sat down for an interview on the No Jumper podcast, where he dished out the dirt about his encounters with none other than Sean 'Diddy' Combs.
According to Cannon, he used to be a regular at Diddy's legendary parties back in the day. However, during the podcast, he confessed that he never actually stuck around to see the night through. In a surprising revelation, Cannon admitted that he would often 'leave early' from Diddy's parties.
At first glance, it might seem like an odd thing for Cannon to admit, especially considering the fact that Diddy is known for throwing some of the wildest and most exclusive parties in the industry. But as Cannon delved deeper into the story, it became clear that his reasons for bailing on the parties were rooted in a desire to maintain a sense of normalcy in his life.
As Cannon explained, attending Diddy's parties would often mean being around a plethora of A-list celebrities and influencers, and the vibe could get pretty wild. While it's easy to get caught up in the glamour and excitement of it all, Cannon revealed that he would often find himself feeling overwhelmed and like he was losing himself in the chaos.
'It's hard to explain, but sometimes being around all those famous people and the paparazzi and the cameras – it can be really overwhelming,' Cannon said during the podcast. 'And for me, it was always about finding a balance between living my life and being a part of that world. I never wanted to get too caught up in it that I forgot who I was and where I came from.'
It's a refreshingly honest admission from Cannon, who has made a name for himself as a self-proclaimed 'regular dude' from San Diego. And despite his confession, it's unlikely that he'll be getting the cold shoulder from Diddy anytime soon. After all, both Cannon and Diddy are part of a tight-knit circle of celebrities who have been friends for years.
Still, Cannon's admission does raise some eyebrows, especially for fans who are used to seeing him as the life of the party on Wild n Out. But as he himself pointed out during the podcast, sometimes it's the people who seem like they're always having the most fun who are secretly struggling to stay grounded.
For now, it seems like Cannon has no regrets about leaving Diddy's parties early all those years ago. In fact, he claims it was a necessary step in maintaining his sanity and staying true to himself. And who knows? Maybe one day he'll make a return to the party scene – but this time, on his own terms.
