Spurs' Season on Brink of Disaster: 3 Stars Who Must Rescue Tottenham

November 14, 2024

Tottenham's season has been anything but ideal so far. Currently sitting 10th in the table, Spurs delivered Ipswich Town their first Premier League win in over 20 years this past Sunday. The shocking defeat left fans and pundits alike stunned and wondering what has gone wrong for the North London club. One thing is certain, however - drastic change is required if Tottenham want to salvage what is left of their season.

One major issue Tottenham face is their inability to finish off games. They have been dominating possession and creating scoring opportunities, but their finishing has been abysmal. It is an issue that needs to be addressed, and it needs to be addressed quickly. Lucky for Spurs, they have three world-class players in their squad who have the ability to turn their season around.

The first player who must step up is Tottenham's star forward, Harry Kane. Kane has been dealing with injuries this season and has not been able to find the back of the net with his usual consistency. However, with his experience and goal-scoring prowess, Kane is the man Tottenham need to be firing on all cylinders if they want to climb up the table. He must take on a leadership role and lead by example if Spurs want to get out of this rut.

Another player who needs to step up is midfielder, Rodrigo Bentancur. Bentancur was brought in last season to bring some much-needed creativity to Tottenham's midfield, and he did just that. However, this season he has been somewhat of a disappointment, often going missing in big games. Spurs need Bentancur to start controlling games and creating scoring opportunities if they want to beat teams like Manchester City and Liverpool.

Last but certainly not least, goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris, must also step up if Tottenham want to make a comeback this season. Lloris has been criticized this season for making some costly mistakes that have led to goals. The French goalkeeper must refocus and start making some crucial saves if Spurs want to have any chance of making a comeback. With Lloris between the sticks, Tottenham have a much better chance of winning games and keeping valuable points.

In conclusion, Tottenham's season is far from over. However, drastic change is required if they want to salvage what is left of it. With the ability and talent that Harry Kane, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Hugo Lloris possess, Spurs can turn their season around. They must, however, start taking responsibility and stepping up to the challenge. Only time will tell if they are capable of doing that.
