BALTIMORE — The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a brutal loss at the hands of their AFC North rivals the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday, as the Ravens dominated the Steelers with an overwhelming 28-14 score at M&T Bank Stadium. The Steelers defense, which is the highest-paid in the league, was completely eviscerated by the Ravens, who managed to gain a staggering 465 yards throughout the game.
This marks the fifth consecutive time that the Steelers have made it to the postseason, only to have their defense torn apart by their opponents. The Steelers had been hoping to turn their fortunes around this time, but it seems that their defense still has a lot to work on if they want to make a serious run for the championship.
The Ravens, on the other hand, looked like a well-oiled machine, with their offense clicking on all cylinders. They were able to move the ball at will, exploiting the Steelers defense for big gain after big gain. The Steelers were unable to mount any sort of effective counterattack, and as a result, they found themselves down by a significant margin for most of the game.
Despite the best efforts of their offense, the Steelers were simply unable to keep up with the Ravens. The final score of 28-14 was a fair reflection of the game, as the Ravens were clearly the better team on the day. The Steelers will now have to go back to the drawing board and try to figure out what went wrong, while the Ravens will be looking to build on their momentum as they move forward in the playoffs.
The loss is a bitter pill for the Steelers to swallow, especially given the high expectations that they had coming into the game. However, they will have to put their disappointment aside and focus on regrouping for next season. For now, though, the Ravens are the ones who are celebrating, and they will be looking to keep their winning streak going as they move forward in the postseason.
