Tennessee Titans Score Big With Number One Pick In 2025 NFL Draft

January 6, 2025

The Tennessee Titans have officially secured the number one pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, following their loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday. The Titans finished the season with a 3-14 record, matching the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants for the worst in the league. However, due to the strength of schedule tiebreaker, the Titans take the top spot.

The draft order is determined by the reverse order of finish, and with the Titans having the worst record and the toughest schedule among the three teams, they were awarded the number one pick. This means that the Titans will have the first opportunity to select the best players in the draft, giving them a significant advantage in rebuilding their team.

The Cleveland Browns, who also finished with a 3-14 record, will have the number two pick, while the New York Giants will have the number three pick. The New England Patriots, who were also in contention for the number one pick, fell to the fourth spot after defeating the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

The 2025 NFL Draft is scheduled to take place from April 24 to April 26, with the first round being held on the first day. The draft will be broadcast on ESPN and ABC, and will also be available to stream on the ESPN App. This year’s draft will be held in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with the main festivities taking place at Lambeau Field and the Titletown campus.

Now that the Titans have secured the number one pick, speculation is growing about who they will choose. One of the top prospects is Colorado’s two-way star Travis Hunter, who played both wide receiver and cornerback in college. Hunter is projected to be one of the top picks in the draft, and his versatility could make him an attractive choice for the Titans.

Another top prospect is Hunter’s teammate, Shedeur Sanders, who is the son of Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. Sanders is a highly touted quarterback who threw for 4,137 yards and 37 touchdowns this season. Other top prospects include Miami quarterback Cam Ward, Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter, Michigan defensive lineman Mason Graham, and LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell.

The Titans’ decision on who to pick will have a significant impact on their team’s future, and fans will be eagerly waiting to see what they decide. With the number one pick, the Titans have the opportunity to select a player who can make an immediate impact and help turn their team around. Whether they choose a quarterback, wide receiver, or defensive player, the Titans are sure to make a splash in the 2025 NFL Draft.
