We're six weeks into the college football season, and the cream is indeed rising to the top. This week's rankings for the State of Texas saw some significant shifts, as top teams clashed and underdogs emerged to challenge the status quo.
North Texas snapped their two-game losing streak, taking down Louisiana Tech and reclaiming their place among the top-ranked teams in the state. Meanwhile, the top three teams continued to assert their dominance, with Number 1-ranked Texas A&M cruising past Mississippi State and Number 2-ranked Baylor edging out Iowa State in a nail-biting finish.
But don't count out the underdogs just yet. Rice University's Owls pulled off a stunning upset against FAU, launching them up the rankings and leaving fans and analysts alike wondering what the future holds for this plucky team.
