Two Insane All-New Compact Sedans Are Hitting Indian Roads Very Soon!

The compact sedan segment in India has been on a decline, with many car manufacturers turning their focus towards the increasingly popular SUV segment. However, two prominent players in the Indian automotive market are set to revamp their offerings in the compact sedan space. Maruti Suzuki and Honda are reportedly gearing up to launch all-new versions of the Dzire and Amaze, respectively.

Contrary to what we see with many updates in the Indian automotive market, the upcoming Dzire and Amaze are expected to be generational upgrades rather than just facelifts. This would mean a complete overhaul of the existing models, with significant changes in terms of design, features, and powertrains.

The compact sedan segment, although on a decline, still holds its own set of advantages. For one, these cars are generally priced lower than their SUV counterparts, making them an attractive proposition for budget-conscious buyers. Additionally, compact sedans are often more fuel-efficient than SUVs, which can be a major selling point for those who spend a lot of time behind the wheel.

Maruti Suzuki’s Dzire, in particular, has been one of the best-selling compact sedans in India for many years. The upcoming generation of the Dzire is expected to come with a host of new features, including updated infotainment systems, new safety features, and possibly even a mild-hybrid powertrain. The car would likely retain its familiar proportions but get a completely new design language that would set it apart from its predecessor.

Honda, on the other hand, would be looking to further solidify its position in the compact sedan space with the all-new Amaze. The Amaze, although not as successful as the Dzire, still has a loyal following in India. The new Amaze is expected to be built on a more modern platform, which would allow it to be more spacious, more feature-packed, and more efficient than its predecessor. We can also expect changes to the car’s exterior design, possibly borrowing elements from Honda’s newer SUV offerings.

While the exact timelines for the launch of these cars are not known at this point, we expect to see them hit the roads sometime in the near future. The updates will come at a time when the Indian automotive market is moving rapidly towards SUVs, but the allure of compact sedans remains strong, especially for buyers looking for fuel efficiency, affordability, and low maintenance costs.
