JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) — In a night filled with electrifying plays, the Jacksonville State football team put on a show for their fans as they comfortably defeated New Mexico State 54-13. The big win was led by their standout quarterback Tyler Huff and talented running back Tre Stewart.
Huff showcased his versatility and skill as he tossed two touchdowns and rushed for another, leaving the opposition struggling to keep up with his pace. One of his most notable plays was when he dodged defenders and dashed across the field, leaving the crowd gasping in awe.
But Huff wasn't the only star of the night – Tre Stewart stole the show with his incredible performance. The talented back rushed for two touchdowns, and also made an incredible catch in the end zone to complete a receiving touchdown. His speed and agility proved to be too much for New Mexico State's defense to handle.
The 54-13 win was a testament to Jacksonville State's well-rounded team and talented coaching staff. As the team took to the field, their energy and teamwork were palpable, and their opponents were quickly overwhelmed.
Coach Steve Behr, Jacksonville State's head coach, praised his team's efforts, saying, 'Tonight, we saw a total team effort from our guys. They've been working hard in practice, and it showed tonight. We're proud of the progress they've made, and we're excited to see where the rest of the season takes us.'
The New Mexico State team struggled to keep up with Jacksonville State's pace, failing to capitalize on several scoring opportunities. Despite this, their head coach, Jerry Kill, expressed his pride in his team's resilience, saying, 'Our guys never gave up, and that's something to be proud of. We'll be back, and we'll be working harder than ever to turn our season around.'
The win brings Jacksonville State's record to 3-0, setting them up for a strong season ahead. As they prepare to take on their next opponents, fans are eagerly anticipating their next game. One thing is for sure – with stars like Tyler Huff and Tre Stewart leading the charge, Jacksonville State is a force to be reckoned with.
