Solo Ball swished a career-best seven 3-pointers en route to 22 points, and Alex Karaban had 18 points and seven rebounds to boost No. 11 UConn to an 81-68 win against host DePaul on Wednesday in Chicago.
Samson Johnson scored 14 points, and Tristen Newton added 12 points for the Huskies, who improved to 15-6 overall and 6-4 in the Big East.
The Huskies shot 51.8 percent from the field, including 12 of 28 from 3-point range, and outrebounded DePaul 38-29. UConn also capitalized on 15 DePaul turnovers, converting them into 20 points.
UConn, which led by as many as 21 points in the second half, also got 10 points and six rebounds from Adama Sanogo, while Donovan Clingan chipped in with eight points, seven rebounds, and two blocks off the bench.
The Blue Demons were led by Javan Johnson, who scored 16 points, while Caleb Murphy and Eral Penn added 10 apiece.
Johnson hit 5 of 8 shots from the field and all four of his free throws to help UConn build a 43-35 halftime lead. He also had three 3-pointers by the break, including one with 1:11 remaining that gave the Huskies their largest lead of the first half.
UConn maintained its lead throughout the second half, despite a brief DePaul surge. The Blue Demons got within six points with 15:33 remaining, but the Huskies responded with a 10-2 run to push their lead back to 14.
The Huskies maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way, with their largest lead coming at 21 points with 4:59 remaining.
The win marked UConn's second straight after a two-game losing streak and its fifth in the last seven games overall.
