Watch As Quincy Olivari's Dream Night Turns Sour Against His Childhood Hero!

October 20, 2024

Los Angeles Lakers rookie Quincy Olivari had a night to remember, even if the final score didn’t go in his team’s favor. Olivari led all players with an impressive 22 points in the Lakers’ loss against the Golden State Warriors.

What made the night even more special for Olivari, however, was the fact that he got to share the court with his childhood hero, Steph Curry. The Warriors guard, widely regarded as one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, has been an idol for Olivari growing up.

In the post-game conference, Olivari couldn’t help but get emotional as he talked about the experience of playing against Curry. “That was, uh, that was something else,” Olivari stammered, fighting back tears. “I’ve been watching him since I was a kid, and to be on the same court as him… it’s just an incredible feeling.”

Olivari’s admiration for Curry is well-documented, and the young Lakers rookie has often spoken about how Curry’s playing style and work ethic have inspired him to work harder and push himself to new heights. So, to finally get the chance to face off against his hero was a dream come true for Olivari.

“I’ve always looked up to him, not just as a player but as a person,” Olivari continued. “The way he carries himself on and off the court, it’s just something that I try to emulate in my own life. He’s just an incredible role model, and I feel so lucky to have been able to share the court with him tonight.”

Despite the loss, Olivari’s performance was a bright spot for the Lakers, who are still trying to find their footing this season. With his impressive display, Olivari proved that he has what it takes to hang with the best of them, even if it was just for one night.

As for Olivari, he’ll take the memories of this special night with him for a long time, and who knows, maybe next time he faces off against Curry, the outcome will be different.
