What Led Anupam Kher to Consider Quitting Bollywood Forever

During a recent conversation at the IFFI Goa 2024, Kher opened up about his journey in films and shared some interesting anecdotes from his growing up years. The veteran actor revealed that he was once denied work in the film industry because of his baldness.

Kher said that his baldness was seen as a major obstacle in his pursuit of becoming an actor. Many filmmakers and producers felt that a bald actor would not be able to connect with the audience, and therefore, refused to offer him roles. This led to a period of struggle and frustration for Kher, who at one point, wanted to leave Mumbai and give up on his dreams of becoming an actor.
