In a shocking turn of events, it has been reported that WWE will be parting ways with three of its talents - Baron Corbin, Indi Hartwell, and Tegan Nox. According to Fightful, Baron Corbin has been informed that his contract with WWE will not be renewed, making him a free agent in the next 90 days. This news comes as a surprise to many, given Corbin's long and storied career in the WWE.
Baron Corbin, whose real name is Thomas Pestock, has been a mainstay in the WWE since 2012. He has had a successful career, competing in numerous high-profile matches and Pay-Per-View events. Corbin has also had the opportunity to work alongside some of the biggest names in the industry, including John Cena and The Rock.
However, in recent years, Corbin's in-ring performances have been met with mixed reactions from fans. While some appreciate his rough-around-the-edges style, others find him to be uninspiring and lacking in charisma. Despite this, Corbin has remained a regular fixture on WWE programming, often serving as a mid-card act or jobber for top talent.
Indi Hartwell and Tegan Nox, on the other hand, are two wrestlers who have seen their fair share of ups and downs in the WWE. Both women were considered top prospects at one point, with many believing that they had the potential to become major players in the women's division.
Indi Hartwell, who began her career in 2016, was known for her athletic in-ring style and confident demeanor. She quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a regular on NXT programming. However, in recent months, Hartwell has seen her role in the company diminished, with many speculating that she was on the bubble for a release.
Tegan Nox, real name Steffanie Rhiannon Newell, has had an equally tumultuous career in the WWE. The 28-year-old began her career in 2017 and quickly became a fan favorite due to her exciting in-ring style and charismatic personality. However, Nox's WWE career has been marred by injuries, including a serious knee injury that kept her out of action for nearly a year.
Despite their potential, neither Hartwell nor Nox was able to find sustained success in the WWE. Both women were frequently absent from television, and when they did appear, it was often in minor or inconsequential roles.
The releases come at a time when WWE is undergoing significant changes. The company has been looking to shake up its talent roster in recent months, releasing a number of underutilized or underperforming wrestlers. These moves are likely intended to make way for new talent and refresh the product for fans.
While the losses of Baron Corbin, Indi Hartwell, and Tegan Nox are undoubtedly significant, it's clear that the WWE is committed to moving forward with its new vision. As for the departing talents, it remains to be seen what the future holds. Will they find success in other promotions, or will they fade into obscurity? Only time will tell.
