You Wont Believe What Happened When James McAvoy Watched the Original Speak No Evil

September 9, 2024

James McAvoy, a talented and versatile actor known for his wide range of film roles, has recently opened up about his experience working on the horror remake Speak No Evil. In an exclusive interview, McAvoy discussed his decision to join the project and what drew him to the complex and intriguing character Patrick Feld.

When asked about his preparation for the role, McAvoy revealed that he deliberately avoided watching the original Speak No Evil before signing up to the remake. This decision, he believes, allowed him to approach the project with a fresh perspective and avoid any preconceived notions about the character or the story.

"I don't know if I'd have taken the role if I'd watched the original," McAvoy admitted. "I'm really glad I didn't, because I think it would have influenced my decision, and I may have thought twice about it. But as it was, I came in with a completely clean slate, and that was really liberating for me."

McAvoy's character, Patrick Feld, is a larger-than-life figure with a dark and troubled past. As the story unfolds, Patrick's true nature is slowly revealed, adding depth and complexity to the narrative. McAvoy was drawn to the role because of the character's nuances and the opportunity to explore the darker aspects of human nature.

"I was fascinated by the complexity of Patrick's character," McAvoy explained. "He's a very charismatic and charming individual, but at the same time, he's got a lot of demons. I was drawn to the challenge of bringing that complexity to life and exploring the different facets of his personality."

Speak No Evil is a horror remake that promises to deliver a unique and unsettling viewing experience. With McAvoy on board, the film is sure to attract a lot of attention from horror fans and film enthusiasts alike. As the release date approaches, excitement is building, and audiences are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to see McAvoy bring Patrick Feld to life on the big screen.
