Ex-Lovers Dropping Dead:TV's Weirdest New Comedy?

Laid, a new comedy series now streaming on Peacock, promises to bring an unexpected twist to the darker side of love and relationships. Co-created by Nahnatchka Khan and Sally Bradford McKenna from Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 fame, Laid takes its viewers on a thrilling ride filled with quirky humor and unexpected deaths.

The story revolves around a 30-something woman who finds herself suddenly getting a heads-up on each ex-lover who leaves this mortal world. Although the viewer remains entertained with its dark yet lovable scenes, Laid maintains an unsettling mix of laughs, ex-boyfriend deaths, and growing inner maturity.

Navigated by star-studded names including Stephanie Hsu and Zosia Mamet, this gruesome-and-harming romantic tragedy never truly owns its dark themes or humor giving birth to a somewhat confusing character. However,a spark remains in this boney pile with humor sprinkled in parts.
