Seamus Qualter, a renowned coach in the Sligo team, has unleashed a scathing attack on the modern sports management technique that has left many stunned. In a recent outburst, Qualter expressed his discontent with the coach-player interaction being reduced to mere WhatsApp messages and computer-generated reports, calling it a "complete no-no" for him.
From Qualter's perspective, these statistical tools bring with them an over-reliance on digits rather than human instincts, as more teams seem to now follow static algorithms for each and every play, making their overall playstyle feel predictable and stale.
Today, dressing rooms are seeing an abundance of advisors, technicians, trainers and yes, even 'ticians'. Qualter criticizes this, stating that bringing all of these teams in creates unnecessary distractions for coaches and athletes alike and ends up hindering true connections.
