Sylvester Stallone Steals the Show in Tulsa King - Season 2 Secrets Revealed

September 14, 2024

Tulsa King, the Paramount+ series created by Taylor Sheridan and Terence Winter, surprised audiences with its unique blend of drama and comedy, setting it apart from Sheridan's other works like Yellowstone and 1883. In an exclusive interview, Terence Winter opened up about his experience working with the legendary Sylvester Stallone and what fans can expect from the upcoming season 2.

"When Taylor approached me about working on Tulsa King, I was immediately on board," Winter said. "I was a huge fan of his work, and the opportunity to create something with him was a no-brainer. But what really excited me was the chance to work with Sylvester Stallone, who was attached to star in the series."

Winter described the experience of working with Stallone as "incredible" and praised the actor's commitment to his craft. "Sly is a true professional, and his dedication to the role was inspiring," he said. "He brought a level of energy and enthusiasm to the set every day, and it was contagious."

When asked about the tone of the show, Winter admitted that he and Sheridan deliberately set out to create something different from the usual drama-heavy series. "We wanted to create a show that was fun and entertaining, with a dash of humor," he explained. "We knew it was a risk, but we felt that it was worth taking. And I think we succeeded in creating something unique and engaging."

As for season 2, Winter was tight-lipped about specific plot details but promised that fans can expect more of the same blend of drama and comedy. "We're going to introduce some new characters and explore some new storylines, but the tone of the show will remain the same," he teased. "We're going to delve deeper into the world of Dwight Manfredi and the people around him, and I think fans will be excited to see what's in store."

One thing that Winter did confirm was that Stallone would be back for season 2, reprising his role as the titular character. "Sly is a big part of the show, and we're thrilled to have him back," he said. "He's already started working on the new season, and I can promise that he's going to bring just as much energy and enthusiasm to the role as he did in season 1."

With season 2 of Tulsa King on the horizon, fans are eagerly anticipating what's next for Dwight Manfredi and the world he inhabits. With Winter at the helm and Stallone leading the charge, it's safe to say that the upcoming season will be just as entertaining and engaging as the first.
